Morning sit, since 2023
“I expected to be bad at it.”
I came to one morning sit because a friend would not stop talking about it. I was sure I would be the only one fidgeting. Nobody is bad at it here: you sit, and someone kind tells you what to do next.
Two years later I come three mornings a week, and the 7 am bell is the first thing in my day that is just mine.

Sound bath, Fridays
“The best hour of my week.”
I work nights in a warehouse and I had forgotten what it felt like to lie still without my phone. The first Friday I fell asleep in ten minutes and woke up embarrassed. Theo said that happens to half the room.
Now I book it every week, and on the nights I cannot come I use the twenty-minute recording before bed.

The 8-week course, spring 2026
“Week three changed my meetings.”
I did the course because my doctor suggested it and I had run out of excuses. The three-minute pause from week three is the thing I use most: before a hard call, in the car, in the hallway outside a meeting.
I am not calmer all the time. I notice sooner when I am not, and that turns out to be enough.
