Retreats

Go away, quietly.

A few days with no phone, no plans and nothing to do but sit, walk, eat and rest. Small groups, close to home.

The shape of a weekend

Arrive, settle, come back.

Most of the weekend is held in silence: no talking, no phones, no reading. It is easier than it sounds, and the part people remember.

Questions

Is a retreat right for me?

Day retreats, yes. For a weekend we ask that you have sat a few classes or taken a course first, so the silence feels familiar.

Phones are kept in a box at the desk. The lodge phone number goes to your family, and a teacher checks messages twice a day.

All meals are vegetarian, and the chef cooks vegan, gluten-free and allergy-safe meals when you tell us on booking.

You can, at any time. Tell a teacher and we will help with the trip home.

Long silence can bring hard feelings up. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 first, and talk to us before you book.
