Accompanied · about an hour

Ask for a house, and a time.

Every viewing is conducted by the partner who wrote the entry. Never in a group, never two buyers on one afternoon, and never photographed.

What a viewing is

An hour, and no performance.

Bring a tape if you want to; we bring ours

01

A partner meets you at the gate

The one who wrote the entry and walked the house. Not a junior with a key and a printout.

02

You see it in the light it gets

We suggest the hour that suits the house rather than the diary, which is why some viewings are at eight in the morning.

03

Questions answered, or written down

If we do not know what year the roof went on, we will say so and find out by the following day.

04

Nothing is asked of you afterwards

No call the next morning to ask for feedback. If you want a second visit, you will ask.

Two practical things

Before you set out.

Most of these houses sit behind gates on private lanes, so the address you are given is the gate and not the house. Parking is on the lane, and it is worth allowing ten minutes for the drive itself.

If you are coming from town, the train from Santa Barbara takes eighteen minutes and we will collect you from Summerland station.
