What we do

Every job an electrician actually gets called for.

Five core trades, one crew, one point of contact. We quote from a site visit rather than a phone estimate, so the number you get is the number you pay.

01

Panel Upgrades

100A to 200A service upgrades, sub-panels, and breaker replacements with permit and inspection handled.

02

Rewiring & Repairs

Knob-and-tube and aluminium replacement, dead circuit tracing, outlet and switch repair on older homes.

03

Lighting Design

Layered interior schemes, recessed and pendant runs, dimming, and low-voltage landscape lighting.

04

EV Charger Installs

Level 2 home chargers, load calculations, dedicated circuits, and utility rebate paperwork filed for you.

05

Commercial & Industrial

Tenant fit-outs, three-phase distribution, motor controls, and scheduled maintenance contracts.

TRADING SINCE

2008

Why Voltiq

A small crew that answers the phone and finishes the job.

We stayed deliberately small. Fourteen electricians, no subcontracted labour, no rotating faces on your property. The person who scopes your work stays on it until the inspection signs off.

Fixed quotes, written up front

Site visit, itemised scope, one number. Variations only happen if you approve them in writing.

Permits and inspections handled

We pull the permit, book the inspector, and hand you the signed certificate at completion.

How it works

Four steps from first call to signed-off certificate.

01

Call or book online

Tell us what’s happening. Emergencies get dispatched immediately; everything else gets a visit slot.

02

Site visit and quote

An electrician inspects the work, checks your service capacity, and writes a fixed itemised price.

03

Scheduled install

We confirm a date, pull the permit, and arrive with everything needed to finish in one visit.

04

Inspection and handover

The inspector signs off, you get the certificate, warranty paperwork, and a labelled panel schedule.

Customer reviews

What Portland homeowners say after the inspection.

Our 1920s wiring finally failed on a Sunday. Voltiq had the make-safe done by 9pm and a full rewire quote in my inbox Monday morning. No pressure, no upsell.

They handled the permit, the inspection, and the rebate paperwork for our EV charger. I did nothing except pick where it went on the wall.

We had three quotes for the warehouse retrofit. Voltiq was the only one that came out, counted the fixtures, and gave us a number that did not move afterwards.

Common questions

Answers before you book.

Site visits for quotable work are free within our service area. Diagnostic call-outs where we trace a fault carry the standard first-hour rate, which is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
Most single-family upgrades are a one-day job with power off for six to eight hours. The utility disconnect and reconnect is scheduled in advance so there is no waiting around on the day.
Regularly. We coordinate first fix and second fix around the build programme and attend site meetings when the schedule needs it. Send us the drawings and we will price from them.
Three years on our workmanship, plus whatever the manufacturer offers on the parts. If something we installed fails in that window, we return and fix it at no charge.

Still not sure what you need?

Describe the problem in a sentence and we will tell you whether it is a quick repair, a scheduled job, or something to shut off right now.
