Grouped by the stage you are at. If yours is not here, call and ask an electrician directly.
Before you book
Site visits for quotable work are free within our service area. Diagnostic call-outs where we trace a fault carry the standard first-hour rate, which is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
Most non-urgent visits happen within two working days. Jobs booked before noon usually get a written quote the same evening. Emergencies are dispatched immediately.
We cover Portland and the near suburbs as standard. Further out we will still take the call and tell you honestly whether the travel makes us the wrong firm for the job.
For simple swaps, yes. For anything involving the panel, the service, or concealed cable, no. Nobody at Voltiq prices a job they have not stood inside.
During the work
Most single-family upgrades are a one-day job with power off for six to eight hours. The utility disconnect and reconnect is scheduled in advance so there is no waiting around on the day.
Regularly. We coordinate first fix and second fix around the build programme and attend site meetings when the schedule needs it. Send us the drawings and we will price from them.
For the initial visit, yes. Once we have a key or code arrangement in writing, most follow-up work can happen while you are out.
Floors get covered, cuts get made with dust extraction where possible, and the site is swept before we leave. Old panels, offcuts, and packaging go with us.
After sign-off
Three years on our workmanship, plus whatever the manufacturer offers on the parts. If something we installed fails in that window, we return and fix it at no charge.
We do. The city inspector visits within two working days of completion, we meet them on site, and you get the signed certificate with your paperwork.
Nothing up front on jobs under $3,000. Larger projects are staged against agreed milestones. Card, transfer, or check on completion.
Yes. We keep a scan of every schedule we print. Call the office with your address and we will email it over.
Still stuck?
Describe the problem in a sentence and we will tell you whether it is a quick repair, a scheduled job, or something to switch off right now.
