What happens

1

History, five minutes

What you have noticed, what you do all day, family history, medication. Most diagnoses start here rather than at the chart.

5 min
2

Refraction, ten minutes

The better one or two. We check against your current glasses so any change is a real change, not a different day.

10 min
3

Imaging and pressure, ten minutes

Wide field photographs, OCT where indicated, and contact tonometry. No air puff, no drops for most people.

10 min
4

Health checks, ten minutes

Visual field, slit lamp, tear film, muscle balance. The parts that find things you could not have described.

10 min
5

The explanation, five minutes

Your images on screen, what they show, what changed since last time, and what we would do about it. Written summary emailed.
