Most people stop at the line they can read and assume the rest is normal. A proper exam checks the eight things a chart cannot: pressure, retina, field, and the four you have never heard of. Forty minutes, no dilation unless we tell you first.

How the appointment runs

1

Book in a minute

Pick a time, tell us your insurer, and bring your current glasses. Nothing else is needed.

2

Forty minutes, unhurried

One optometrist, one room, the whole way through. We do not hand you between three people.

3

You see the images

Retinal photographs go up on the screen and we explain what we are looking at, not just the result.

4

Prescription in hand

Printed and emailed the same day, whether or not you buy glasses here. That is your legal right and our habit.

Frames, by shape

20/70

Nine hundred frames, and four that suit you.

Choosing by brand is how people end up with glasses they stop wearing. Choose by shape against your own face, then by the lens you actually need. Our dispensing opticians will narrow nine hundred down to four in about ten minutes.
