Forty decisions before the shutter.

About

Vogura opened in 2016 as one stylist, one rack, and a strong opinion about hemlines. It is now a two-city studio that builds books agencies open twice.

(01) — The premise

Styling is editing in advance.

Most portfolios fail before the camera is on. The look is wrong for the market, the fit is wrong for the frame, and no amount of retouching rescues a decision that should have been made at the rack.

So we make the decisions early. Every session starts on paper: who the book is for, which agencies open it, what the season is asking. Then wardrobe, hair, and light are built to answer, and the shutter only confirms it.

(02) — Principles

Three things we refuse to do.

Pad a book to look generous
Twelve strong pages beat thirty polite ones
Style for the stylist
The look serves the face, never the mood board
Promise placements
We promise a book that earns the meeting
