A note from the commodore
I joined Tiller in 1994 because a friend needed a fourth hand on a Friday night. Thirty-two seasons later I am still here, and most of the people on this pier came the same way: one sail, then another, then a key to the clubhouse.
We have kept the club the way it started. There is no joining fee and no bond, the boats are looked after by the people who sail them, and anyone who wants to learn will find someone on the dock happy to teach.
Come down to Pier 6 on any Friday at five. Ask for me at the dock office, and we will find you a place in a crew.

I came for three days of sailing school and joined the week after. Now I crew on Kestrel every Friday, helm on Sundays, and know half the pier by name.
