Spa Creek is one of the most sheltered harbours on the Bay, and the berths on our two piers rarely stay empty for long. If you are thinking about keeping a boat here, this is the honest version of how it works.
We have three berth sizes, one waiting list and a winter storage yard across the road. Here is what each one includes, when to get in touch, and what it costs for the season.
Berths are sized by the length of the boat, not the length of the slip. Up to 24 feet sits on the inner pier, 25 to 30 feet on the outer face, and 31 to 38 feet on the T-head, where there is room to turn a bigger boat in the creek.
If your boat is close to a boundary, measure it overall, including the outboard and the bow roller. We measure every boat on arrival, so it is better to know first.
From above, the inner pier, the outer face and the T-head, with the yard across the road.
Every berth comes with shore power, fresh water, a dock box and access to the clubhouse, the showers and the pump-out. Berth holders also get club membership, so the rental fleet and the Friday sail are part of the price.
“Most berth holders started as renters. They keep coming back until it is cheaper to keep a boat here.”
A berth is paid for the season, in two halves, and includes the membership that would otherwise cost $310 a month.
The season runs from April to October and the list for the next season opens on the first of November. Berths up to 30 feet usually go by January. The T-head berths turn over less often, so if you want one, ask early and expect to wait a season.
From November to March boats come out of the water and into the yard. We haul, pressure wash, block and cover each one, and we launch it again in April with the bottom painted if you ask us to.
The marina office is on the ground floor of the clubhouse. Come and walk the piers before you decide.
